When you register for an Immersive Experience Alliance event, the information you provide through LinkedIn (such as your name, email address, and professional affiliation) may be used by event organizers to:

  • Send event reminders and access details

  • Share relevant follow-up materials related to the event

  • Notify you about future Immersive Experience Alliance events or initiatives

Your information will only be used for event communication and community updates and will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

If you wish to opt out of future communications, you may do so at any time by contacting the Immersive Experience Alliance organizers.​

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you register for an event through LinkedIn, we receive certain information from your LinkedIn profile via LinkedIn’s event registration form. This may include your first name, last name, email address, job title, company name, and country or region.

This information is automatically pre-filled by LinkedIn and submitted when you complete event registration.

ACCESS TO REGISTRANT DATA

Event organizers can access registrant information by downloading it from LinkedIn’s Manage attendees section.

Please note that there may be a delay of several days between registration and when your information appears in the downloadable attendee list. Registrant data is available for up to one year from the date of registration. After one year, the data can no longer be accessed through LinkedIn.

DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we receive and limit access to registrant data to individuals responsible for organizing and managing the event.

DATA SHARING

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties outside of LinkedIn, except where required by law or as necessary to operate the event.

YOUR CHOICES

Submitting the LinkedIn registration form is required to attend an event. Marketing communications are optional and require your explicit consent through the registration form.

LINKEDIN’S ROLE

LinkedIn collects and processes your information in accordance with its own privacy policies. This policy applies only to how we use the information provided to us through LinkedIn’s event tools.
